Kathleen Johnson Dugger's Obituary
Dugger, Kathleen Johnson- Age 85 of Nashville, TN passed away on November 22, 2011. She was a dignified southern lady who was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, John Taylor Dugger, Jr. who died on March 9, 2002. She is survived by her much loved sons, Keith A. Dugger (Jane) and J. Alan Dugger (Kim). Four outstanding grandchildren, Christopher John Dugger of Los Angeles, CA; Laura Jane Dugger Young (Erik J.) of Portland, OR; John Taylor Dugger IV; and Spencer Lee Dugger. One sister Dorothy J. Knowles, two nephews and wives all of Maysville, NC; special friends Delma Gatlin and Dot Moore. Born Georgia Kathleen Johnson on July 1, 1926, she was the daughter of George G. Johnson and Ruby Mae Grissom. She was a native Nashvillian and a 1945 graduate of her treasured East High School. Kathleen married her childhood sweetheart John T. Dugger, Jr. on April 6, 1945. She was a member of St. Luke's Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Kathleen had numerous friends with whom she shared many fond memories. She was a wonderful homemaker, an avid reader, and a rock collector. A graveside ceremony will be conducted at Spring Hill Cemetery on Friday, November 25, 2011 at 2PM, with Dr. Dwayne Tyus officiating. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Chris Dugger and Taylor Dugger; Ed Davis, Delmas Brake, Carl Myers, Charlie Green , Pat Patterson, Robert McBride, and Bill Goad. A visitation will be held in Spring Hill Funeral Home two hours prior to the ceremony starting at 12PM.
