Mrs. Kathryn Farrell Prince's Obituary
Kathryn G. Farrell Prince, age 98 of Enid, OK and formerly of Nashville. Mrs. Prince was born December 11, 1914 and died February 15, 2013 in Enid, Oklahoma following a brief illness. Mrs. Prince was a 88 year resident of Nashville, Tennessee. She worked for A&P Food Stores until her retirement. During this time she met and married R.L. Farrell. Although R.L. was killed in July 1947, they had a son, Robert, in January 1948. In 1974 she married Fred Prince of Knoxville, Tennessee. They remained together until his death. Mrs. Prince was a 60+ year member of the Eastern Star and a member of Goodlettsville Presbyterian Church. Her faith in God was at the forefront of her life. She loved gardening and her green thumb could be seen by the many roses and flowers she tended throughout her life. Additionally, she loved Tennessee, often speaking about her many friends over the years here. She always said "You can take the girl out of Tennessee, but you can't take Tennessee out of the girl." Mrs. Prince was one of four daughters and three sons, surviving all of her siblings and their spouses. She leaves behind her son and his wife, Bob & Nancy Farrell of Enid, Oklahoma; three grandsons, Robert Jr., John, Scott and his wife Jennifer, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and three great-granddaughters; Madison Ramsey, and Katelyn & Kimberly Farrell. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, April 23 at 2:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Cemetery with Mr. Perry Davis officiating.
