Keith E. Ellis' Obituary
Keith Emptage Ellis, dedicated husband, father of two, grand-father, brother, uncle, and friend of many, departed this life on April 16, 2023, at home in Nashville Tennessee after a long illness. He was born in Georgetown, Guyana on July 16,1955 to Richie Emptage and Eunice Ellis.
Keith immigrated and settled in Nashville, Tennessee 12 years ago to be with his lovely wife June Nobrega-Ellis. He worked at the Renaissance Hotel Nashville in the hospitality department for 10 years. He believed that hard work pays off and encouraged others to do likewise. He was resilient, vibrant, and enjoyed life. Through the years, he loved building boats in his hometown of Guyana, a skill he learned from his father Richie. His hobbies were playing soccer and cricket, horseracing, billiards, fishing, farming, and spending time with family and friends. He was matchless in billiards and his friends attested to it. His presence will be missed by everyone who knew and love him, especially his wife and children.
Keith is preceded in death by his father and mother Richie Emptage and Eunice Ellis, and his brothers Edward and Rick. Keith is survived by his wife June Nobrega-Ellis; his children Leon Keith Ellis and Michelle Grace Ellis; his siblings Ashton, Errol, Gregory, Richard, James, Peter, John, Kenric, Sabrina, Ruby, Louise, Jenny, Deborah, Jane, Rosaline and Jean; grandson Nikosi Reece; nieces Mary, Maunda, Yolanda, Nicola, Saunda, Nikita, Rokicia, Latoya, Vanessa, colleen, Kerry, Marlina, Sonita, Crystal, Rebbeca, and Abby; nephews Alvin, Jesse, Kenneth, Lennox, Emanuel, Adam, Paul, Allan, Scott, Zakar, Joshua, Anthony, and Jonathan; great-nieces and great-nephews Kimora, Lizzy, Tarik, Malachi, Brianna, Crystal; and a multitude of extended relatives of the Ellis, Emptage, and Nobrega families.
