Keith Norman Mueller's Obituary
MUELLER, Keith Norman; Feb 18th, 1926-Mar 5th, 2011. Keith was born in Moline, Illinois and was preceded in death by his mother, Meryle (Thornburg)Mueller and Wilbur Bennett Mueller. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Gwythalynne (Webb) Mueller. He leaves a son, Michael B Mueller ( Barbara ), and a daughter, Marlee Crankshaw. Keith leaves behind 6 loving grandchildren, Jamie Mueller, Beverly ( Raed ) Dibeh, Stephanie ( David ) Zachariason, Chris ( Jamie ) Crankshaw, Jenni Crankshaw, and Katie ( John ) Torbus. He also leaves greatgrandchildren:Christian, Hayley, Scout, Nova, Maddox, Aveedaze, Briana, Meadow, Keilie, Riley, Kendall, Yousef, Mahasen, Rasha, Mohammed. He is survived by brothers, Bruce E Mueller ( Shirley )and Paul M Mueller, and many, many nieces and nephews. Keith served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. After his military service, Keith worked many years for Baltz Brothers and Kentucky Sausage Co, first as a truck driver and later as a traffic manager until his retirement. His hobbies and interests included Scouting- as a Scoutmaster for Troop 5, with Holy Name Church. He was also a licensed glider pilot and an avid motorcyclist. He was a Ham Radio Operator and a lifelong member of the North American QRP CW Club and the FISTS club, with call letters KD4RXO. Funeral Services will be on Tuesday March 8, 2011 at 1PM in the chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Chaplain Ray Nell Dyer officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 2-4, 6-8 PM and on Tuesday from 11-1PM at Spring Hill. Interment will follow services in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery where pallbearers will be, Mike Mueller, Jamie Mueller, Chris Crankshaw, Christian Carter, David Zachariason, and Mike Mammarelli.
