Kelly Jean Norton, 61 of Nashville, TN passed away on March 19, 2023, with her beloved husband, Chuck, and her father Jim Smith by her side. She was preceded in death by her mother, Sheril Smith.
Born on October 7, 1961 in Nashville TN, Kelly attended Goodpasture Christian School and was a graduate of Brentwood Academy and Tennessee Tech University. She was a long-time member of Riverside Drive Church of Christ. Kelly had three great passions: teaching children in Bible class, rescuing dogs and cats, and china painting.
Kelly is survived by her husband Charles Glenn Norton Jr. of Nashville, Father Jimmy Nelson Smith of Franklin, sister Krissie Smith, brother Brad (Laurie) Smith and their sons Brad and Barrett. Her mother-in-law and father-in-law Dr. Charles and Berthanne Norton, Her brother-in-law Kip (Jeanette) Norton, her sister-in-law Cindy (Jim) Cornelius and their daughters Courtney Cornelius and Kaycie (Justin) Speros.
The family of Mrs. Kelly Jean Norton invites relatives and friends to gather for a time of visitation and remembrance at Spring Hill Funeral Home on Sunday, March 26, 2023 from two o'clock in the afternoon until five o'clock in the afternoon. On Monday, March 27, 2023, a Funeral Service will be held for Mrs. Norton in the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home at twelve o'clock noon, with the family receiving visitors from ten in the morning until the time of the service. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery in the Norton Family Plot.
Honorary Pall Bearers will be Painting Pals Guild, Monday Class at the Old Hickory Art Center, and Tennessee Porcelain Artists.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Kelly’s memory to Nashville Cat Rescue, Big Fluffy Dog Rescue, or Catio Cat Lounge.
