Kenneth Clifford Sayne's Obituary
Kenneth “Ken” Sayne, age 73 of Hendersonville, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, passed away Monday, March 5, 2012 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Mr. Sayne was born June 12, 1938 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Lonnie C. and Irene M. Sayne. He was a member of the Methodist church, Vietnam Veterans of America and VFW Post 9851. He served in the U.S. Army and retired after 21 years of service including time in Vietnam, Korea and Lebanon. He attended Anchorage University in Anchorage, AK. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Louetta D. Sayne; son, Kenneth C. Sayne, Jr. of Madison; daughters, Deborah J. Sheehan of Medina and Bonnie M. Blaylock of Yorktown, VA; grandchildren, Lyndsay and Cassidy Sheehan of Medina, Zandalee Sayne of Madison and Jordan and Sean Blaylock of Yorktown, VA; sister, Ruth Walker of West Mifflin, PA and brothers, Bruce Sayne of Pittsburgh, PA and Lonnie Sayne of Portsmouth, OH. Ken was outgoing and “never met a stranger”. He was a man who kept his family laughing, loved the outdoors, cooking and just being around other people. He is dearly loved and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. A celebration of Mr. Sayne’s life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, March 8, 2012 from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment with military honors will follow in the Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Memorial contributions should be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or to VFW Post 9851.
