Mr. Kenneth Phelps' Obituary
Kenneth Phelps, 62, of Lakeland, Florida (formerly of Madison, Tennessee) passed away on Monday, April 13, 2020. Born October 1, 1957 in Madison, Tennessee, he was the son of Edwin Phelps and the late Pernie Phelps.
Kenneth worked for Bell South/AT&T for 28 years and later went to work for Plantation Reality in Lakeland, Florida. He enjoyed fishing and could often be found tinkering/working on something. He was a fan of NASCAR, more specifically a fan of Jeff Gordon.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Pernie Phelps; brother James Phelps; sister-in-law Mary Ann Phelps; and nephew Eddie Phelps.
He is survived by his sons Christopher Phelps and Charles “Kirk” Phelps; sister Linda (Wayne) Mathews; a nephew Christopher “Big Chris” Phelps; nieces Melinda (Daniel) Brown, Jennifer Blain, Kimberly (Peter) Mathews Adair, and Stephanie Mathews; the mother of his children Beverly (Mike) Shoop; and a host of extended family and friends.
A private graveside service will take place on Monday, April 20, 2020 in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville, Tennessee with Dr. Kevin Shrum officiating.
