Mr. Kevin Gordon Nutting's Obituary
Mr. Kevin Gordon Nutting, age 64 of Carthage, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. He was born in McKenzie, Tennessee on September 6, 1957 to Gordon and Margaret Nutting. He was preceded in death by his father Gordon Nutting. He is survived by his loving wife Joy Nutting, mother Margaret Nutting; children Meghan Nutting, Hollie Nerren, Jason Jackson, and Kenneth Jackson; grandchildren Rowan, Reave, Caleb, Preston, Madison, Olivia, Payton, and Arika; sister Lisa, brother Tracye, and a host of extended family and friends.
Kevin was an all around good man. He was likable, outgoing, and never met a stranger. He loved his family and loved the Lord. He was very knowledgeable about the Bible and quite a number of other things, as he always craved knowledge and was always trying to learn something new. He was also very interested in fitness and martial arts, having a deep appreciation for the strength and discipline taught therein. Family was of utmost importance to Kevin. He loved his children and grandchildren deeply, and was not only a loving husband but a dear, loving friend and companion to his wife Joy. He enjoyed playfully picking on and giving nicknames to those he cared for. He was also especially talented with telling tall tales to his grandchildren. Kevin was very generous, and was giving of his time and resources to those around him.
A visitation honoring his life will be Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home with military honors rendered at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help offset expenses through the cash app $JoyNUTTING.
