Kyle Michael Whitman's Obituary
Kyle Michael William Richard Whitman passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 2nd at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He sustained injuries in a car accident days before that would ultimately claim his life. His last day was a wonderful one. He went to church with his sister and brother in-law and spent time gaming with friends. He was born on April 21st, 1992 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee to parents Michael and Vanessa Whitman. Kyle received his diploma from Mt. Juliet High school in 2011 and went on to join the Army Active Reserve. He graduated first from the Army Engineering Academy. He had been attending the Gathering service at Cornerstone Nashville Church. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and his beloved dog Zeke. In High School, he was a part of the Chess Club, German Club, and founder of the Yugioh Club. Being an engineer at heart, he could make anything from used materials. Kyle is survived by his four siblings, brother Jory and sisters Tashina, Jamie, and Madeline, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was a wonderful son, brother, and friend. Kyle will be remembered for his bear hugs, joyful laughter, and ability to befriend anyone. You couldn’t spend time with him without laughing hysterically and being hugged until the air left your lungs. The funeral services will be held Saturday May 5th at Cornerstone Nashville Church. The public viewing is from 12- 1 pm and the service is from 1-2 pm. The burial service will follow at 4 pm at Wilder Cemetery.
