L.S. Williams' Obituary
L. S. Williams of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, age 99, passed away on November 25, 2025.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Hershell and Estelle Williams along with his wife, Rosie Williams.
He is survived by his children Thomas L. Williams (Dena) and daughter Patricia Faye Thompson (Rod) and various nieces and nephews. L.S. was born in Monoville, Tennessee and attended Isaac Litton High School.
L. S. and Rosie were married for 77 years. They were members of Dickerson Road Baptist Church for over 65 years and before that were members of Inglewood Baptist Church. L.S. served as a Deacon at Dickerson Road for many years and was recognized as Deacon Emeritus in 2019.
L.S. began his career in the building supply business where he worked for Cole Mfg. Company and L.T. Lewis & Sons. He began working in Real Estate Trust with Nashville Trust Company in the early 1950's.
L.S. retired from Third National Bank as Vice President and Trust Real Estate Officer after 30 years of service in 1988. He was President of the Building Owners and Managers Association of Nashville during the years of 1967 and 1968. He was a member of the Optimist Club of Nashville Downtown.
After retirement he and Rosie enjoyed traveling in their RV and visiting campgrounds around the south fishing at various lakes near the campgrounds. They moved to NHC Cool Springs in 2022.
His son, Tom, describes him as the "most solid person he has ever known. Whatever he said to you, you could count on it to the very letter to the very end. He would not compromise anything in business, family, and daily life." The friends at NHC described him as a "true gentleman." We thank all the staff at NHC for his care and making him feel comfortable
Visitation will be held at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Rd, Nashville, TN 37216 on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from ten o’clock in the morning until 12 pm noon with service to follow at 12 noon at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Dickerson Road Baptist Church, 3601 Dickerson Rd, Nashville, TN 37207.
