Mrs. La-Verne Carver Nash's Obituary
La-Verne Carver Nash, age 79, passed into eternal rest on September 17, 2015. La-Verne was born in Sumner County, Tennessee on October 17, 1935 to the late Samuel and Leona Carver. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, James W. Nash, and son-in-law Bobby Gidcomb, Jr.
La-Verne is survived by her children, David J. Nash (Rhonda) of Mt. Juliet and Dana Nash Gidcomb of Madison; grandchildren, Kellie Nash, Adam Nash, Shelbie Gidcomb, and Chase Gidcomb; two great-grandchildren, Tyler Baskin and Brayden Davis; one sister, three brothers, and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.
La-Verne worked for Metro as a Data Processor. She was a member of the Madison East Nashville #1 and the Order of the Eastern Star for over 35 years. She was also a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and then transferred to Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Goodlettsville.
La-Verne’s family will receive friends and visitors on Monday, September 21, 2015 from 1:00pm until 9:00pm, with an Eastern Star Memorial Service to be held at 7:00pm that evening. Additional visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 from 9:00am until 11:00am. Funeral services will take place after Tuesday’s visitation, at 11:00am from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Masonic Garden of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family members serving as Pallbearers.
