Ms. Lara Lynn Podany's Obituary
Lara Lynn Podany age 45, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018, of a sudden illness. The family is extremely proud that she was an organ donor, helping to enhance many lives. After graduating from high school in Hickory, North Carolina, she went on to ITT Tech with a degree in Computer Aided Drafting. Besides achieving her education, her greatest gift of all was the birth of her daughter, Samantha "Anna" Deason. Her life was surrounded by her family and friends, especially her granddaughters, Leighton Marie, 5 and Charlee Kay, 16 months and two great-nephews, Jackson and Liam. Her time was filled with sharing Disney movies, games and holiday family gatherings where we all looked forward to her grilling and cooking skills. Lara worked for Remarketing Solutions for years and when it was reorganized to Primeritus Financial Services, she continued to enjoy her job and the people she worked with. She was a member of Bellshire Assembly of God Church for many years. She is survived by her mother Lynn (Fayman) Podany; daughter Anna (Jason) Deason; granddaughters Leighton and Charlee Kay; brother Ryan (Tracey); sister Lisa (Stephen) Wright; nephew Taylor (Saige); nieces Ashlee (Chance), Whitney, Alyssa, and Montana. In addition, she is survived by her great-nephews Jackson and Liam; aunts Diane Fayman, Nancy (Dave) Reick, uncle Roger Fayman, and several cousins and friends. Preceding her in death, were her father Ronald Podany, grandparents Arnold and Evelyn Podany, and Gus and Cleo Fayman. Anyone who met Lara, knew she was a genuine and selfless person. She will be loved and missed by many. Pallbearers will be Ryan Podany, Taylor Podany, Roger Fayman, Jason Deason, Stephen Wright, Chance Hartley, and Allen Deason. Honorary pallbearers are Nancy and Dave Reick, Brad Reick, Dustin Reick, Annie Nielsen, and Diane Fayman. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 2pm-8pm and also on Friday, April 13, 2018 from 10am-12pm. Services will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 12pm in the Chapel at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
