Larry Eugene Bess' Obituary
Larry Eugene Bess, 82, of Goodlettsville, TN, went home to be with the Lord, on March 20, 2026. He passed peacefully after a short battle with his health.
Larry was born on December 4, 1943 in Nashville, Tennessee. He is survived by his children, Cheryl & Roy Binkley and Jimmy & Kristy Bess. He had 7 grandchildren who included Ashley Baggett, Austin Binkley, Katrina Binkley, Kaden Binkley, Hannah Welch, Jordan Bess, and Kobe Bess. He also had 8 great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Patti Sue Bess; father, James Harold Bess; mother, Gladys Justine Whittaker Bess; brothers, Jerry Bess, Wayne Bess, & James Bess; as well as 2 sons, Tony Eugene Bess & Larry Keith Bess.
Larry graduated from Hume Fogg High School where he studied for the tool & die trade. From there, he went to work at Vaughn Manufacturing Company for 42 years before retiring. During his retirement, he enjoyed fishing. His most favorite thing was relaxing while watching sports in the home he cherished for more than 50 years.
Graveside service to be held Monday, March 30, 2026 at 1:00pm at Spring Hill Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 29th from 3pm-7pm and Monday, March 30th from 11am until time of service.
