Mr. Larry Wayne Binkley's Obituary
Larry Wayne Binkley, age 68 of Hermitage, passed away on January 10, 2015. Larry was born in Nashville, Tennessee on July 3, 1946 to the late Jesse and Mary Helen Binkley. Larry was one of twelve children born to Mr. and Mrs. Binkley. Larry was a loving son, father, husband, Paw-Paw, and friend.
His family recalls that Larry was a good man who enjoyed the “simple things in life.” He loved his family and always made sure that they were taken care of. Larry enjoyed cookouts and having a good time with his friends, going to races, and playing pool. He was a big fan of the Tennessee Titans, as well as NASCAR’s main players, Dale Sr. and Dale Jr. He loved country music…real country music like George Jones. He had a great sense of humor, and his family remembers that he wasn’t afraid to play a joke on someone.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by six of his siblings. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Becky; his daughter, Jennifer (William) Binkley; five siblings; and the light of his life, his grand-daughter, Emma Rose Wainright.
Larry’s family will receive friends and visitors on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 2pm until 6pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Additional visitation will take place on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 9:00am until 11:00am. Pastor Gary Ferrell will preside over a Celebration of Life Service to honor Larry on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Thomas B. Craighead Garden of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
