Larry Rivers' Obituary
Larry Rivers, 77, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, January 27, 2022.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Rivers, his parents, Esther and Thomas Rivers, a daughter, Barbara Howell.
Mr. Rivers is survived by his two daughters, Debbie Wood (Kevin), Jennifer Al-Athari (Haider), seven grandchildren, and a sister Marilyn Stewart.
Mr. Rivers enjoyed playing his guitar, often just by ear. He was in the band called The Elgins during the 60’s. There were many talent contests they won as a group. His interests included control line model planes, playing his banjo, painting cars, and animals (especially his cat Honey).
The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, February 2 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. The funeral will be held on Thursday, February 3 at 2:00 pm also at the funeral home with an hour of visiting prior to the service. The committal service will immediately follow.
