Mr. Larry Wayne Swann's Obituary
Mr. Larry Wayne Swann, 61, a resident of Greenbrier, died Sunday, April 6, 2014 at St. Thomas Alive Hospice.
The Davidson County native was the son of the late Rodney Glenn and Thelma Lee Merideth Swann. He was an electrician having been with Oldham Electric and self-employed with S & K Electric working at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He was a member of the New Hope Free Will Baptist Church in Joelton. He enjoyed fishing, socializing with neighboring house boat friends, riding his Harley and taking vacations, especially the Grand Canyon and Hawaii. In most recent years he enjoyed watching the kids play ball. His pride and joy were “his boys”, golden retrievers, Rusty and Scarlett.
He is survived by his wife, Lanna Wiseman Swann; daughter, Michelle; step daughter, Amanda Robertson; step son, John (Jenny) Robertson; brother, Rodney Glenn (Dianne) Swann, Jr.; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Emily, and Tyler Robertson, Matthew and Rebecca Lemay, Cody and Dylan; nieces, Debbie (Tim) Butler and Sandy Swann; great niece, Whitney Butler.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Spring Hill Funeral Home with Brother Tom Malone officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday, April 8, 2014 from 3:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jay Watts, Ben Baker, Quinten Russell, Donnie Kilgore, Tim Butler, and Tommy Berry. Honorary pallbearers will be the A 6 Sunday School Class at New Hope Free Will Baptist Church and the Rivergate Ring of Fire Harley Chapter members and Eddie Swann.
