Mr. Larry Eugene Thompson's Obituary
Lawrence “Larry” Thompson, age 59, of Nashville, passed away on April 19, 2014. Larry was born on April 20, 1954 to the late Tom Bell and Margaret Thompson. Larry was an avid pool player, played on pool leagues, and amassed quite a collection of trophies as he honed his skill. He was also a deer hunter and fisherman. Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Michelle Pharris; grandson, Little Billy, and brothers, Tommy and Johnny Thompson. He is survived by his loving wife of over thirty years, Donna Thompson; sons, Preston (Jessica) Thompson and Coy (Rachel) Thompson; brother, J.C. Meadows; sisters, Frankie Brewington, Dorothy Jean, and Mary Killian; grandchildren, Chelsey, Tanner, Michelle, Gracie, Deanna, Presley and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Selina, Melissa, and Baby Joe; nephew, Lynn Brewington; many friends, and the entire billiard community.
The family will receive friends and visitors on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from 2pm until 8pm. Additional visitation will be on Thursday, April 24, 2014, from 12pm to 1pm. A Celebration of Life service will take place at 1pm, following Thursday’s visitation. Entombment will be in the Serenity Chapel of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
