LaToya Denise Lee 39, Native born of Nashville Tennessee, was born to the late Valarie Denise Hoover Reece and William Albert Lee on August 24, 1981. LaToya transitioned from this life as we know it on February 11, 2021 at Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown. LaToya attended Metro Davidson County School and Graduated from Anthem Educational Group with her study focus as a Medical Assistant Associate. LaToya accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at First Street Missionary Baptist Church. During her Teen-age years she joined her mother and completed New Believers Classes at Born Again Church and Christian Out Reach Ministries. As a young adult she frequent churches in her neighborhood. LaToya worked as a Home Healthcare Aid at Madison Square Park Tower until her health began to decline.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Johnay Dunlap, mother, Valerie Denise Hoover Reece grandmother Alice Marie Jenkins Harding, grandfather Harry Daniel Jenkins, grandmother Rochelle Lee, grandfather Roy Walter Lee Sr, and 3 aunts and 2 uncles.
LaToya loved family, music, singing, dancing, cooking, and making others laugh.
Those mourning her passing, yet holding on to the blessed promises found in John Chapter 14, include her Amazing Children; Jarvisha Muse, Kendreya Pointer, Cedric Lewis, Cedasia Pointer, Johnathan Dunlap Jr, Father William (Toyre) Lee, siblings; Antonio William Lee, William Lee Jr, Tranesha Lee, Belinda Mondragon, Lewis Harding (grandfather), Aunts, June Hoover, Janice (Robert) Garrett Sr., Alice (Tyrone) Jenkins-Corlew, Uncles, Roy Walter Jr., Kenneth Hoover, and Robert Hoover, Larry Raines, James Raines, Devoted Cousin, Guanica Nicole (Bobby) Whitsett, Devoted Family, Valerie Pointer, Marissa Pointer, and Lisa Muse, host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends; fiancé` Brian Sutton, Loyal friend and Buddy-Cousin Alana (DeMarco) Palmer, god daughter Alashia Moment
A visitation will take place on Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 11 AM until 3 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 3 PM.
