Lawrence “Larry” Michel of Charlotte, NC. He was born in Sacramento, CA. He lived in IL for many years and had friends from all over the world. He passed away in Nashville, TN on August 15, 2020. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Michel and Verna White Michel and his brother David Michel. He is survived by his loving wife, Marcella Martinez; stepson, Antonio Torres; brothers, Joseph (Jeannie) Michel, Timothy (Rebecca) Michel; and lifelong best-friend, Jim Kienzle.
Lawrence was raised in the Catholic faith. He strived to be closer to God every day. He would read the scripture every day. He always wanted to grow as a person. He was an avid reader. He loved dogs and would say hello to every dog on the street. He had a passion for traveling. Lawrence was a big baseball fan, especially the Dodgers. He wanted to see every MLB stadium. He was a Buckeyes fan. OH…IO. He connected with music of all kinds. He was a jazz lover. He was a great story teller and his voice spoke with confidence. His voice was mesmerizing.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 19, 2020 from 1pm to 2:30pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home.
