Mr. Lawrence W. "Mac" McCoy's Obituary
Lawrence W. “Mac” McCoy, age 92, passed away on September 23, 2017 in Madison, TN. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ilo McCoy; and a grandson, Todd Sommer.
He is survived by his children, Vonnie (Mitch) Sommer, Teri (Russ) Turner, Larry (Glenda) McCoy, Ronnie (Terri) McCoy, Patti McCoy; brother, Lamar (Dottie) McCoy; grandchildren, Erinn (Richard) Cowell, Elisha (Clark) Grantham, Megan (Richard) Black, Wilson (Jessica) McCoy, Maxie McCoy, Craig (Linsey) McCoy, Jack McCoy, and great-grandchildren, Christan Sommer, Landon Black, Tommy Cowell, Mckoen Black, Leila Cowell.
Mac was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church and Old Hickory Country Club. He had a great sense of humor and loved to tell stories. Mac enjoyed playing golf with his buddies. He adored his family and his cats. Mac was a wonderful man and touched the lives of so many. He will truly be missed.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to St. Josephs Catholic Church and/or Kindred Hospice.
Visitation with the family will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 6-8 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home. There will be a 7:45 pm rosary at the funeral home during visitation on Tuesday. A celebration of life funeral mass will be held at St. Josephs Catholic Church at 11 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2017 with visitation from 9:30-11 am at the church.
