Mrs. Lay Loeung's Obituary
Lay Loeung, age 88, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2019 in La Vergne, Tennessee. Lay was born on August 3, 1930 in Battambang, Cambodia.
Lay moved to Tennessee as an immigrant from Thailand. She was a pillar in the Cambodian community here in the Nashville area. Lay was known to be the sweetest woman and was beloved by her family and friends. She loved to dance and was a classical Cambodian dance teacher. Lay was known to be an outspoken woman and said what was on her mind but was a very humble woman.
Lay is survived by her seven children Ban (Rin), Yan (Chea), Chhouk (Eddie), San (Teuth), Yen (Roeun), Jeff (Vanny), Noup; she is also survived by 27 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4 PM to 7 PM on Saturday July 27, 2019. Funeral Ceremony will be from 1PM to 3 PM on Sunday. Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216 has been entrusted with the final care of Mrs. Loeung. www.springhillfh.com
