Mr. Leamon Reed's Obituary
Leamon Reed, age 84 of Nashville passed away April 17, 2013 after a brief illness. Mr. Reed was born on October 22, 1928 in Smith County, TN to Daniel and Dora Reed. He moved to Nashville at an early age; was saved at the age of 12 at the Fatherland Baptist Church; and he graduated from East High School in 1947. Mr. Reed met the love of his life Elizabeth in 1949 while attending church; they were married on June 8, 1952. He was ordained a deacon in the Baptist Church by Bro. J. W. Mayfield. Mr. Reed began working at Third National Bank in 1947 until his retirement in 1989 after 42 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Elizabeth Reed; daughter, Anita (Steve) Burnette; son, Dan Reed; and granddaughter, Stephanie Burnette. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 20th at 12:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Wampler and Bro. Wayne Walton officiating. Entombment will follow in Spring Hill’s Serenity Chapel Mausoleum. Visitation with the family will be on Friday from 3-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. until service time.
