Mrs. Leda Esperanza Gomez, age 85, of Hendersonville, Tennessee passed away on Thursday July 22, 2021. She was born on March 27,1936 in Managua, Nicaragua to the late Remingo and Marina Cajina. She was preceded in death by her husband Manuel Gomez and grandson Ryan Gomez. She is survived by her beloved children Maria McPherson, Manny Gomez and Leda Earhart (Anthony). Leda was born and raised in Nicaragua. She later moved to Costa Rica where she met and married her husband Manuel sixty years ago. They started a family and later moved to the United States. She was a kind, loving and compassionate person who loved helping people. She spent several years of service at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge, Florida assisting as a translator whenever needed. She especially enjoyed working in the labor and delivery wing of the hospital. The long line of visitors to see her when she fell ill served as a testament to her kind-heartedness to everyone she met. As a devout Catholic, she was very strong in her faith, often reminding people, “I was born a Catholic, I’ll die a Catholic”. She was very active outside in her garden and loved being among her flowers.
Services are being planned and will be shared to this obituary once finalized.
