Ms. Lelan Delno Swann's Obituary
Lelan Delno Swann, age 103, of Jackson, Tennessee passed away on January 19, 2014. She was born in Orlinda, Tennessee on July 6, 1910, to the late Charles Oliver Swann and Minnie Groves.
Ms. Swann was a member of Woodmont Baptist Church and enjoyed going on church trips. She was also a cashier for several dry cleaning companies in the Nashville area.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Lucile Jones and Geraldine Trenary; and one niece, Elsie Jones. Ms. Swann is survived by nephews, Dr. James C. “Jim” (Jan) Jones, Charlie (Barbara) Trenary, Robert (Peggy) Jones; niece, Betty Ann (Don) Manly; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.
Dr. James C. “Jim” Jones shall lead a Celebration of Life service in honor of Ms. Swann on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 1:00PM, from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in historic Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, January 23, 2014, from 12PM until the time of service.
