Leona Sue Greer Coles, age 76 of Gallatin passed away March 20, 2013. Mrs. Coles was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Mayo and Leria Ailene Capps Greer. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Roland “Pinky” Coles; daught Read Obituary
I extend my heartfelt sympathy to the Greer Coles family. May those precious memories of your dear loved one Leona be foremost in your hearts and minds along with this wonderful promise that Jesus made at John 5:28,29. Again, my sincere condolences.
I have so many great memories of Sue. Sue was not only a wonderful sister to me, but also part mother.
I remember one instance when she had hid in an apple tree late at nite. My Brother and I had been down at our Aunt Annie's house watching Shock Theater with her, Gene, Larry, and Diddy. After that scary show was over, Doug and I had to walk down a very dark and scary road by the apple orchard to go home. We got about 3/4's of the way home when we heard growling, howling, and could hear the shaking of tree branches. We took off running as fast as we could, knowing one of those monsters from the TV was about to get us. We ran in the back door of our house,finally feeling safe. Sue followed about 3 mins. later, laughing so hard she was crying.
