Leroy Michael Robertson's Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Leroy Michael Robertson, better known to most as Michael, who departed this life on August 3, 2025, at the age of 64.
Michael was born on November 14, 1960 and lived a life marked by passion, possibility, and perseverance. A true entrepreneur at heart, he was always chasing the horizon, dreaming big, thinking boldly, and searching for the next opportunity that could change everything. Whether it was a new venture, an innovative idea, or a creative hustle, Michael believed in taking chances and living life on his own terms. He had the soul of a risk-taker, the mind of a visionary, and the spirit of someone who refused to settle for the ordinary.
Michael is survived by his three children: Amber Burgess (Chantilly, VA), Destiny Robertson (Little Rock, AR), and Kylan Robertson (Memphis, TN). Though his life’s journey sometimes made their relationships complex, Michael never stopped believing in his children. He was endlessly proud of them. He talked about them often, bragged about their accomplishments, and celebrated their milestones no matter how big or small. In his own way, he loved deeply, and he carried the hope that his children would keep reaching for their dreams, just as he always did.
Michael lived life with a spark that couldn’t be dimmed. He could strike up a conversation with anyone and often did, leaving behind a trail of unexpected friendships and unforgettable moments.
Though his path wasn’t always easy, Michael’s journey was uniquely his own. His parents, Leroy Robertson Sr. and Mila Ford, both preceded him in passing; their lessons, combined with his own creative outlook, live on in the guidance he shared with his family. And in the end, he leaves behind not just memories, but a reminder that it’s never too late to believe in something bigger, to try again, and to keep going. He also leaves behind extended family, friends, and countless others who knew him as a hustler, a dreamer, and a man who kept trying no matter what life threw his way.
He will be missed. He will be remembered. And most of all, he will be loved.
