Liberatore Anthony Allocco's Obituary
Liberatore Anthony “Tony” Allocco, age 77 of Nashville, TN passed away January 19, 2012. Mr. Allocco was born June 24, 1934 to Louis and Frances Nataro Allocco in Chicago, IL. He served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1959. He was a graduate of Loyola University (Chicago) with B.S. and also a graduate of Illinois College of Pharmacy. He worked in Chicago for two years then moved to Nashville and married his sweetheart, Marie McKenzie. He worked at Nashville Memorial Hospital and Middle Tennessee Mental Hospital. He was a proud parishioner of the Church of the Holy Rosary for over forty years. He taught CCD and was a Eucharistic Minister there. He served as a volunteer for Alive Hospice for several years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Frances Allocco; his dear wife, Marie McKenzie Allocco; and grandson, Frank Louis Beach. He is survived by seven children, Mary Frances (Mark) Beach, Theresa (Phillip) McClendon, Louis (Katrina) Allocco, Jimmy (Tina) Allocco, Michael (Kristie) Allocco, Jennie (Brian) Mnich and Angela (John) Yanacek; 18 grandchildren, Sarah, Alicia, Eric, Michael, Marie, John, Molly, Sonny, Bosco, Maria, Kate, Dominic, Marie, Nicholas, Jack, Cullen, Andrew and Jessica; two great-grandchildren, Grace and Bobby; his eight siblings and their families. He was very proud of his family, especially his grandchildren. A funeral mass and celebration of Mr. Allocco’s life will be conducted at 10 A.M., Monday, January 23, 2012 from the Church of the Holy Rosary in Donelson with Rev. Mark Hunt and Rev. James Panackal officiating. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with his wife. Family will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the Church of the Holy Rosary with a rosary service to be held at 7 P.M.
