Lila Maxedon Wilson's Obituary
WILSON, Lila Maxedon age 78, ended her battle with cancer on September 22, 2010. She passed away at her home in Madison, TN, surrounded by her loved ones. Lila is survived by: her loving husband of 54 years, Lonnie E. Wilson, her beloved children: daughter, Cindy Wilson Oliva (John), and son, Chris Wilson, her precious grandchildren: grandson, Cooper Wilson and granddaughter, Keaton Wilson, her step-grandson, Jacob Falls, her brother, Bryan Maxedon, and numerous nieces and nephews and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. She was preceded in death by: her parents, Bryan and Zola Maxedon, and her brothers, Keaton Maxedon, Ray Maxedon, and Wendell Maxedon. Lila was born on May 5, 1932 in Nashville, TN and attended Isaac Litton High School, where she remained active in their Alumni Group. As a young woman, she worked at First American National Bank, where she met and fell in love with her husband. Once her children arrived, Lila chose to stay at home to be with her family. Later in life, she returned to work for eight years at the Davidson County Election Commission. Lila was an active member of the Goodlettsville First Baptist Church and Old Hickory Country Club.Her greatest love was caring for her family and friends, but she also found joy in gardening and was a past President of the Hendersonville Garden Club. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8PM on Friday at the Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216. Funeral Services, conducted by Pastor Courtney Wilson, will also take place at Spring Hill Funeral Home at 12 Noon, on Saturday September 25, 2010. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society or Alive Hospice.
