Lila Merritt Raggett's Obituary
Lila Merritt Raggett, age 92 of Nashville, passed away February 13, 2012. Mrs. Raggett was born June 13, 1919 in Nashville to Charles Lilton and Margaret Valentine Merritt. She worked for the Nashville Chair Co. and the State of TN. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 23 years, Edward Jean Raggett; sisters, Nora M. Huddleston and Mae M. Bush; and brothers, Herschel, Ralph and Marvin Merritt. She is survived by her daughter, Jean (Eric) Jamborsky; son, Ed (Glenda) Raggett; grandchildren, William Jamborksy, Carolyn Peterson and Diana Norris. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, February 15, 2012 in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Rev. Brian Rossbert officiating. Don Bush, Ron Bush, William Jamborsky, Durand Peterson and Andrew Norris will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 9:30 A.M. until 11:00 A.M., Wednesday at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Memorial contributions should be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
