Linda Kay Boone's Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ms. Linda Kay Boone on August 24th, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee.
Linda was born on January 10th, 1945, in Nashville. She was the daughter of the late Jack Raines and Katherine Mattie May Green Raines. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family adoringly describes her as the epitome of grace, class, and femininity. Above all, she was a committed follower of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She met the love of her life, Jerry Clayton Warren, and they were happily wed for 25 years until his passing on July 22nd, 1989. She was remarried later in life to John Boone until his passing. Both Linda and John were active members of Rivergate Church of Christ and were surrounded by an incredible church family who loved them beyond words. Her family was her life and her passion. Her love for reading spanned across every genre, but she was particularly fond of Gothic romance and faith-based stories. She was especially fond of the love story of Joey + Rory, whose music she held dear to as it was reminiscent of her and Jerry’s love story. She had a green thumb with a particular affinity for roses. Her knockout roses were always a knockout! Her beautiful spirit will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Left to cherish Linda’s memory are her children Dawn Edmonson (Jordy) and Darren Warren (Amanda); grandchildren Blake Sadler and Logan Fetzer; sister Kathy Gentry (John Sharp); brother Bobby Raines; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
The family cordially invites guests and relatives to join them for a time of visitation on Monday, August 28th, 2023, from four o’clock until seven o’clock in the evening, and on Tuesday, August 29th, 2023, from ten thirty in the morning until eleven thirty in the morning, with a chapel service to follow at eleven thirty in the morning at Spring Hill Funeral Home, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. Linda will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens after the chapel service on Tuesday; those who wish to join the family at graveside will be guided by our staff in procession.
Arrangements for Ms. Boone are entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
