Mrs. Linda W. Bryant's Obituary
Linda W. Bryant, 81, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2022. Born January 31, 1941, in Nashville, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Veachel Williams and Virginia Sparkman Williams.
Linda graduated from Hume Fogg High School in 1959. She married A. L. “Pete” Bryant, Jr. in July of 1959. She spent her entire working life as a commercial artist. The longest amount of time was at the United Methodist Publishing House, where she had a rich professional life as well as made lifelong friends. She loved God, her family, her church and Vanderbilt athletics. She attended Madison General Baptist Church in the early part of her life and more recently Neely’s Bend Baptist Church. She started playing church piano at 14 years of age, taught Sunday School, and filled many other roles. She was known for her sense of humor and was an excellent prankster.
She is survived by her husband A. L. “Pete” Bryant, Jr.; daughters Joni (Mike) Tressler and Laura McFadden; grandchildren Lindsey Carr, Robin (Steven) Lindsey, Anna Lee (Marshall) Covert, and Chloe (Adam) Bower; great grandchildren Payton Lindsey, Josh Lindsey, Nick Lindsey, Jadin Cherry, Georgia Carr, and Charlie Carr.
Visitation will be Friday, December 9th from 10 am until 12 pm noon at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at 12 pm with Gordon Donoho and Dr. Henry Webb officiating. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
