Mrs. Linda Black Gaines' Obituary
Linda Black Gaines, age 68, of Gallatin, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2019. Linda was born on January 10, 1951 in Bloomington, Indiana, to the late Charles Black and Virginia Fitzgerald.
Linda loved family time. Her grandchildren, who referred to her as ‘Khaki’, were a high priority to her. She enjoyed her many travels with them. She was a member of Hendersonville 1st Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Clay Gaines; son Wesley (Jamie) Gaines; grandchildren Samuel and Charlotte; sisters Cindy (John) Harmon, Patty (David) Pitt, and Lisa (Greg) Hall; brother-in-law Winston (Linda) Gaines; sister-in-law Barbara (Rick) Halcomb.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 2, from 12:00 PM until 1:00 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216. A graveside service will take place at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery with Dr. Bruce Chesser officiating. Pallbearers will be Rick Halcomb, Trent Halcomb, Rob Pittman, Greg Hall, Winston Gaines and John Harmon.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hendersonville 1st Baptist Church 106 Bluegrass Commons Blvd, Hendersonville, TN 37075.
