Linda Fay Hall's Obituary
Linda Fay Hall, longtime Memphis resident, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born on February 8, 1952.
Linda was a devoted mother, grandmother, educator, and woman of faith. Known by many affectionate names — Little Linda, Ms. Linda, Mom, and Grammy — she was soft-spoken, modest, and deeply caring, with a quiet strength that left a lasting impression on those who knew her.
A lifelong educator, Linda loved working with children and sharing her passion for animals. Animals
were always part of her life, and she had a special love for birds, which brought her comfort and joy.
Linda was a loyal member of Hope Presbyterian Church in Memphis, where her faith was nurtured and remained central throughout her life.
She is survived by her children, Sarah (Nick) Blumkin and David (Ashton) Underwood; and her beloved grandchildren, Conner and Addison Blumkin, and Anders, Rush, Carson, and Gray Underwood. She was preceded in death by her parents, Sidney Carson Hall and Minnie Ethel Hall(née Henry).
A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery in Nashville. Family will gather prior to the service.
Flowers may be sent to the funeral home. Memorial donations may be made in Linda’s honor to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network
