Linda Jeanette Ellison Knight's Obituary
Linda Jeanette Ellison Knight, 83, of Madison, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2024. She is preceded in death by both of her husbands, William “Dub” Allen, and Joseph Wilbur Knight, parents, Rosen James Ellison, and Pauline B. Ellison.
Jeanette is survived by two siblings, Rosen James “Jimmy” Ellison, Jr. (Sandra Jo), Sandra Ellison Everhart, (Tony), two nephews, Randy Ellison, (Joycelyn), Scott Ellison, (Kate), two nieces, Kasey Everhart Kitchen, (Austin), and Angie Chitwood, nephew Steve Chitwood, (Kim), sister-in-law Jane Chitwood, two grandsons, Travis Allen (Sydney), and Chad Allen, two great-grandsons Tucker and Porter Allen, two great-nieces, Abi and Lexi Kitchen.
Jeanette was born on July 16, 1940, in Calera, Alabama. She grew up in Madison, Tennessee, graduated from Madison High School, and Belmont University. She received her Master’s Degree from Middle Tennessee State University. Jeanette taught school in the Nashville Davidson County School system for 30 years. After retirement, she worked with Vanderbilt University as consultant with student teachers. Jeanette was a member of Madison First Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, taught Bible classes, and worked with senior adults.
The family cordially invites relatives and friends to visit and share stories on Saturday, May 25, 2024, from 10:30 am until the time of the funeral service at 12:00 pm at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road in Nashville. The committal service will immediately follow.
