Linda Posey's Obituary
Linda Langdon Posey, Age 83, Beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully in her sleep, December 25, 2012. Mrs. Posey was born in Houston, TX and raised in Mississippi. She earned her bachelor’s degree at Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi and her Masters in library and information science from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Mrs. Posey worked for years with the Knoxville/Knox County public library, McClung Historical Collection, and after retiring to the Mississippi gulf coast worked for the Pascagoula library system. Mrs. Posey was devoted to service and support of those around her. She will be terribly missed. Mrs. Posey is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Franz, her daughter Catherine Posey, son Mike Posey, Daughter Joyce (Brad) Rust, sister Betty Langdon Currey, granddaughter Laura (Dustin) Bruce, grandsons Ian Rust, Dylan Rust, Franz Rust, granddaughter Alma Rust and great granddaughter Jocelin Leanne Bruce. There will be a private family memorial service at a later date.
