Mrs. Linda Lee Rice's Obituary
Linda Lee Rice, 83, of Madison, passed away on Wednesday, May 25, 2022. Born September 5, 1938, in Sparta, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Hugh Lawson Moore and Vada Maynard Moore.
Linda was a member at Matthews Memorial United Methodist Church in Madison. She was a dedicated mom, wife and grandmother. She’ll be remembered for tending to her garden and her love of shopping.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Charles Jeffrey Rice; daughter Donna Rice Weiss; sister Marie Moore.
She is survived by her husband Denver Rice; daughter Teresa (Phillip) Rice McMahon; brothers Hugh Moore and Donnell Moore; sisters Eva Lois Sellars, Daris O’Connor and Denise Moore; grandchildren Melanie (Billy) McCrary and Derrick Purtle; great grandchildren Brooke, Bridgett, David, Rett, and Arden; great great grandchildren Veda and Caroline; fur baby Whiskers.
A graveside service will take place at 2 pm on Saturday, May 28, at Plainview Freewill Baptist Church in Sparta.
