Gene Allen, a humble and kind-hearted man known for his gentle compassion and unwavering honesty, passed away peacefully on February 6th, 2025, in his hometown of Nashville, TN.
Born as Lindsey Eugene Allen on February 4th, 1963, in Nashville, TN, Gene spent his life embodying the virtues of kindness and humility. A family man who was always there for you, he found his greatest joy in the simple moments shared with loved ones.
Gene cherished every moment spent with his family at home. He took immense pleasure in playing baseball and softball with his children, creating memories filled with laughter and love. His gentle guidance and kind gestures left an indelible mark on those around him.
An avid fan of NASCAR, especially admiring Dale Earnhardt, Sr. and Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Gene shared his passion for sports with family and friends. His love for the outdoors led him to find peace by the lakeside, where he often spent quiet hours fishing, reflecting his deep and abiding faith.
Gene's hardworking nature and resilience were evident in the way he provided for his family. His honesty and humility stood as a testament to his character, inspiring others to live with integrity and compassion.
He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Sherry Allen; his sons, Ryan Curtis and Troy Allen; his daughter, Malia Proctor; and his sister, Sharron Adams, 7 grandkids, and 1 great grandchild. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Wanda Allen, his sister Cathy Cantrell, and his brother Terry Allen.
A service to celebrate Gene's life will be held on February 12th, 2025, at Spring Hill Funeral Home. in Nashville. Friends and family will be welcomed to visit on February 11, 2025, from 5-8p and prior to the service from 12p-2pm.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the gentle memories and acts of kindness Gene shared with us all. His legacy of compassion and love will continue to inspire and guide us.
