Lloyd Whitefield Pate's Obituary
PATE, Lloyd Whitefield, Age 82 of Madison, TN passed away July 9, 2009. Mr. Pate was born in Nashville in 1926 to the late Earl Graves Pate Sr. and Freida Hayes Pate. He was owner/operator/broker of Martin and Pate Real Estate Company in Madison. He was a charter member of Gallatin Road Baptist Church where he was a deacon for over 52 years, a Veteran of the United States Navy, a graduate of Tennessee Tech University, and a leader in the Big Brother Program for youth, and a high school football official for over 40 years. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandfather, whose love for people and the Lord was always evident. Mr. Pate is survived by his wife of 57 years, Clenna Mary Yundt Pate; daughters, Rachel McDonald (Terry), and Dianna Chambers (Alton); sister, Freida Jean Martin, grandchildren, Michael and Christopher McDonald, and Emily and Jackson Chambers. Funeral services will be on Monday July 13, 2009 at 1PM in the Chapel of Spring Hill. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6PM and Monday from 11-1. Interment will follow funeral services in Spring Hill Cemetery where pallbearers will be, Christopher McDonald, Michael McDonald, Jackson Chambers, Joe Guider, Earl Graves Pate III and Walt Baker.
