Ms. Lois Hickman Cobb's Obituary
Lois Hickman Cobb, 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2020 in Georgetown, Kentucky. She was born on February 8, 1932 in Westmoreland, Tennessee to the late Marvin Devoe Hickman and Lurlene Venetia McDole Hickman.
Lois was a member of Faith Baptist Church and had formerly been a member of Dalewood Baptist Church in Inglewood. Lois had worked at Genesco Shoe Company prior to going to work at Dupont Chemicals where she worked until she retired. She was a wonderful seamstress who used many techniques such as French hand sewing and applique. She sewed children’s clothing and made crochet baby’s blankets and many other things for family and friends.
She is survived by her son Richard (Gwen) Cobb; daughter Debbie (Larry) Borum; grandchildren Dana (Robert) Waits and Stacy (Patrick) Smith; great-grandchildren Porter Waits and Cecilia Smith.
Visitation will take place Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Spring Hill Funeral Home from 10 AM until 12 PM. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held at 12 PM at the funeral home with Brother Jerry Jones officiating. Entombment will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chip Carter, Patrick Smith, Robert Waits and Robbie Hickman.
