Lois M Phelps' Obituary
Lois Anne McNutt Woodall Phelps, 90, passed away peacefully at her home on August 27, 2025 in Lakeland, Florida. She was born June 22, 1935 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Clay A. McNutt and Dorothea Dwyer McNutt.
Lois graduated from Isaac Litton High School in 1953 and was a majorette. She enjoyed being a homemaker, seamstress and knitting, and was a member of City Road Chapel United Methodist Church and sang in the choir for many years.
Lois and Ed moved to Florida in 1989 and began her career as a realtor, enjoyed playing tennis, and traveling. She loved going on cruises and her favorite destination was Hawaii.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, husband of 48 years Edwin A. Phelps, step sons James and Kenneth Phelps, brother John McNutt , and sister Margaret Cooley. She is survived by her daughter’s Stephanie (Sam) Miller, Julie (Steve) Collier, Celeste Woodall, and stepdaughter, Linda Matthews. Lois had 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
