Lola Christine Fletcher, 95, of Nashville, Tennessee, died on Friday, March 31, 2023. Born February 22, 1928, in Nashville, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lee Fox and Lola Mae Lampley Fox.
Christine and her late husband, Harry, owned and operated Fletcher’s Pizza in Donelson, Tennessee where she worked for many years. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by her family and friends but will live in our hearts forever.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Harry Ward Fletcher, Jr.; daughter Janice Leigh Gilley; sisters Kathryn Wilkinson, Jean Tinsley, Ernestine DeJarnatt, and Erline Morgan.
She is survived by her sons Leslie (Patty) Fletcher, Alan (Renee) Fletcher, and Gary (Samantha) Fletcher; daughers Joyce (Craig) Plummer, and Carol (J.T.) Austin; 15 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held from 12 pm until 2 pm on Friday, April 7 at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Nashville. A Celebration of Life Funeral Service will follow at 2 pm and will be officiated by Chaplain Mike Dodrill. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will take place in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Christine’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spring Hill Funeral Home. A landmark since 1785, “Where Nashville Comes to Remember.”
