Tom was born February 15, 1947 in Henry County, TN to Artie Andrew Jackson, Sr. and Mary Helen Barlow Jackson. A kind and giving man, he always had a tender heart for anyone in need. Tom retired from the Air Force after 20 years of service to his country and went on to work in the manufactured housing industry for over 20 years, serving on the Tennessee Housing Association Board of Directors, representing West Tennessee industry affiliates. Preceded in death by his parents, he is survived by his wife of 15 years, Marla Jackson; adult sons, Jason and Brian Jackson; brother, Artie A. Jackson, Jr.; aunt, Jeanne Barlow and cousin, Stephen Barlow; nephews, Justin Jackson and Ryan Mills; and niece Magin Mills. A memorial celebration of Tom’s life will be conducted at 1:00 PM CST, Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Spring Hill Funeral Home Chapel, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN with Dr. Duane B. Mills officiating. Inurnment with Military Honors will follow in the Hillcrest Fountain Garden in Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM CST, Thursday, prior to the service at the funeral home. Those wishing to make memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may donate to the Tennessee Manufactured Housing Foundation, 604 4th Avenue North, Nashville, TN 37219.
