Mrs. Lucille Virginia Cochran Davis' Obituary
Lucille Virginia Cochran Davis, age 87 of Hendersonville went to the arms of her Lord on Sunday, April 28th. Born and raised in West Virginia; she had lived in Hendersonville, TN since 1989. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents, Gwyn and Ethel Sexton of Anawalt, WV; first husband and friend, Ralph Cochran; grandson, Blake Cochran and sister, Violet Massey. She is survived by daughter, Brenda (Gene) Ferguson of Westmoreland, TN; son, Ronnie (Shirley) Cochran of Hendersonville, TN; granddaughters, Michelle (Matt) McLane of White House, TN, Danielle (Marty) Scruggs and Chandra (Daniel) Wilkerson of Westmoreland, TN and Lance Cochran of Tampa, FL; great-granddaughters, Jessica McLane of White House, TN, Veronica “Roni” and Rebekkah “Bekki” Scruggs of Westmoreland, TN; sister, Frances McDaniel of Radford, VA; and three brothers, Vaughn Sexton of Warrenton, VA, Vernon Sexton of Bluewell, WV and Rev. F.D. “Mickey” Sexton of Shady Spring, WV; several nieces and nephews also survive. Over the years, Lou as she was called, taught several family members to play the guitar and passed her love of music to her children. Her sense of humor will be missed by all who knew her and her personal testimony will be remembered by all she touched during her lifetime. A celebration of Lou’s life will be held on Thursday, May 2nd at 2:00 P.M. from the Chapel of Spring Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Stacy officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
