Mrs. Lura A. Cammuse's Obituary
Lura Ann Morgan Cammuse, 84, of Madison, TN, died on September 9, 2020 at North Park Village Senior Living.
Ann grew up in Madison and raised her family there. She cared for both her elderly parents in her home. When she no longer had that responsibility, she enjoyed going with her husband as he traveled in his work. She especially enjoyed several family trips with her son’s family to Branson, Missouri for the musical entertainment shows. She enjoyed playing with her grandson and teaching him to play cards, Scrabble and other games. She was a devoted wife and cared for her husband for many years when his health failed. After his death she became active in Madison Senior Center, Red Hatters and Friday night musical programs. Ann loved Christmas and was always ready to drive to see Christmas lights.
For the last six years, Ann called North Park Village home. She met some wonderful residents and staff there that assisted her with all aspects of daily living. She loved to have her great grandchildren visit and the opportunity to show them off and brighten the other residents’ day. Her joy of her grandchildren helped her deal with the death of her only child in 2017.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Lura (Wright) Morgan; husband, Edward T. Cammuse; and son, Leslie Alan Cammuse.
Survived by daughter-in-law, Margaret Cammuse; grandson. Douglas (Holly) Alan Cammuse; and great grandchildren, Carson and Caroline.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 15, at 9 am immediately followed by graveside service at 10 am with Bro. Chuck Groover officiating at Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery at 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
