The family of Mack E. Wheeler, Jr. of Nashville, TN regrets to announce his passing on Monday, May 3, 2021 at the age of 58, and invites you to attend a celebration of his life …
Mack was born in Cookeville, TN on May 30, 1962, the son of Mack and Clara Fay (Neal) Wheeler. He was married to Pinky S. Jumalon on August 17, 2006 on the beautiful island of Cebu in the Philippines.
He is survived by his beloved wife Pinky J. Wheeler; parents Mack E. and Clara Fay Wheeler; parents-in-law Reynaldo B. and Fe S. Jumalon; sisters Ann Brandt, Karen Baucom (Glenn), Cathy Ratliff (Max), Patty Jumalon; brothers Reynaldo Jumalon, Jr., and Patrick Jumalon; nieces and nephews Benjamin Baucom, Elizabeth Baucom, Michael Baucom (Noelle, and baby, Coral Rose), Alexis Baucom; Erika Ratliff, Dylan Ratliff, Tricia Andrea Jumalon, Asi Jumalon, Kenneth Jumalon, and James Jumalon. He is also survived by many loving aunts and uncles, cousins, and in-laws here and in the Philippines.
Mack most loved spending time with his wife and his family and friends, laughing and enjoying life to the fullest. He cared deeply for everyone he met and always served others before himself. He absolutely loved life and was skilled at capturing moments through photography – which he loved to share with others. He was an excellent husband, son, brother and friend, and he was always there when you needed him with a listening ear and a caring heart. He loved his Filipino family deeply as well and visiting their island was definitely a highlight of his life.
Mack enjoyed working at Centennial Hospital for many years, caring for hurting people with a compassionate and kind spirit. The last few years he enjoyed working at Journey’s home office and most recently at Pinnacle Dermatology. He put his whole heart and full effort into whatever he did. Mack will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Mack’s visitation will be held on Tuesday and Saturday, on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 5-7 PM at the Holladay Church of Christ at 1765 Mine Lick Road, Cookeville, TN 38501. Mack's visitation on Saturday, May 22, 2021 will be held from 1:00-3:00 pm at the Spring Hill Funeral Home at 5110 Gallatin Pike, Nashville, TN 37216 with the Celebration of Life Funeral Ceremony immediately following at 3:00 PM.
