Mr. Mack Edwin Wood Sr's Obituary
Mack Edwin Wood, Sr, age 78, of Portland, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at home. Mack was born on January 27, 1940 in Red Boiling Springs, Tennessee to the late Joseph Rudolph Wood and Hester Wilson.
Mack served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He made and designed stained glass as owner of The House of Wood Glassworks.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Carole S. Wood; son Mark E. Wood; stepson Wesley Williams; brothers Bill Vaughn, Joseph Wood, Jr; sister Doris Vaughn; and great-grandchild Kaelani Bradshaw.
He is survived by his daughter Elizabeth (Joil) Bradshaw; two sons Mack Edwin (Terah) Wood, Jr and Marvin Eugene Wood; step-daughter Cindi Smith; sisters Anna Sue Hawkins and Carolyn Wood; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 4 PM until 8 PM at Spring Hill Funeral Home 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, TN. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 8, at 1:00 PM with John Jared officiating. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
