Magdalene Wade Thomas' Obituary
THOMAS, Magdalene Wade of Hendersonville, TN passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2010; she was 86. Alongside her husband of 43 years, Edgar Lamar “Doc” Thomas who passed away in 1986, they owned the Thomas Drug Store on Dickerson Road for many years. She was also preceded in death by her parents Oscar B. and Ellen Louise Wade. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Dr’s. Jane and Gary Lipscomb of Mandeville, LA, and one granddaughter, Alicia Thomas Lipscomb also of Mandeville, LA. The family will receive friends on Monday, April 19, 2010 at First Baptist Church Hendersonville, TN where Mrs. Thomas was a member for twenty-five years. Visitation will be in the Chapel from 9 AM until service time at 11:00 AM. Rev. Bruce Chesser Rev. Courtney Wilson and Rev. Carl Duck will officiate. Honorary Pallbearers: Earl Loxley, Jim Hornsby, Lois Head, Darlene Johnson, Deborah Longbotham, Barbara McGee, Evelyn Rowe, Peggy Sherrill and Sherytha Scaife, Margaret Dunaway Sunday School Class of Inglewood Baptist Church, Bill Hall Sunday School Class of First Baptist Church Hendersonville. Pallbearers: Keith Longbotham, R.K. Galloway, Ken Hass, John Collins, Arnold Demonbreum and Bill Hall. In lieu of flowers donations should be made to your favorite Charity. Interment will follow in Historic Spring Hill Cemetey.
