She was born June 3, 1925 in Nashville, TN. She was a graduate of East High School, member of Brush Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church and dedicated her life to serving others. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 53 years, Leland M. Ray. She is survived by her son, Lynn (Cindy) Ray and grandson, Hayden Ray. A celebration of Mai Ellen’s life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2012 from Brush Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Kenny Butcher officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 P.M. until 8 P.M, Sunday, June 10, 2012 at Spring Hill Funeral Home and from 10 A.M. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Brush Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 3705 Brush Hill Road, Nashville, TN 37216.
