Mrs. Mai O. Hampton's Obituary
Mai O. Hampton, age 92, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, August 06, 2017 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Hampton; one brother Lucian Oldham; one sister, Geneva Brownfield. She is survived by her daughter, Melissa K. Woosley; one sister, Joyce Hatcher; one grandchild, Derek Schmitz; one great-grandchild, Hudson Carter Schmitz; one stepson Ray Hampton (Ruth); one step daughter, Phyllis Castratta (Jerry); two nieces; Jan Lassiter, Jackie Cutrer (Clyde) and step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Mai graduated from Dupont High School in 1943 and went on to work for Dupont textile where she retired from after 40 years of service. She was a member of Madison Missionary Baptist Church. Charles and Mai loved to travel, they have enjoyed several trips to Europe, Mexico and most of the US states to name a few. She loved scratch off tickets!
Pallbearers will be the loving women that took such great care of mom during the past several years; Linda Hughes, Sherry Davis, Denise Matthews, Glenda Brooks, Wanda Gribcheck, Leslie Huff, and Billie Jo Wooten.
Visitation with the family will be held on Thursday, August 10, 2017 from 10-11 am at which time a grave side service will be conducted from the grounds of Historic Spring Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by Spring Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery.
