Mr. Malcolm Rufus Murphy Jr's Obituary
Malcolm Rufus Murphy, Jr, age 83, of Goodlettsville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 at his home. Malcolm was born on February 8, 1936 in Nashville, Tennessee to the late Malcolm Rufus Murphy, Sr, and Elizabeth D. Brown.
Mr. Murphy served his country proud in the United States Army. He was a former employee of Spring Hill Cemetery in Nashville and McLean Trucking.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Bryan Murphy in 2017, and a sister, Joyce Hesson.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Murphy; a son, Gerald Murphy; grandchildren Michael (Vanessa) Murphy and Trevor Murphy.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 23, from 9 AM until 11 AM at Spring Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Historic Spring Hill Cemetery.
